Thanks to the enthusiasm generated during last year's Northfield Gypsy Jazz Jam Series, plans are in the works for another set of four open jam sessions - each led by a professional gypsy jazz musician. Those hoping to tune up their chops in advance can check out the Django Fake Book or check out these great play-alongs by guitar genius, Stephane Wrembel. All sessions will start off with a few tunes to highlight our guests, then roll into an open jam session with charts projected on the wall so everyone can play along. All instruments are welcome, no experience necessary. Stay tuned for details, and come and join in the fun!

In addition to being the name of our band, Ile du Berceau or "Cradle Island" is best known as the enchanting location in Samois-sur-Seine, France that hosts the annual Django Reinhardt Music Festival. It's a place where musicians and music appreciators come together from across the globe to celebrate the legacy of Django Reinhardt's unique musical contributions, while also showcasing modern sounds that reflect the ever evolving world of jazz. In this unique and idyllic setting, musicians from all walks of life come together to play music and bask in the sounds of life in the making - such is the music and the spirit of the musicians who are Ile du Berceau.
