Join Ile du Berceau from 8-10 on Tuesday, Feb 12th for our part in Carleton College's annual Climate Action Week festivities. The week's events are focused on "sustainability stories" - reflecting on the good things in life that don't wreak (as much) havoc on our fragile natural environment. In our case, this means remembering how to have fun the old fashioned way - hot club music on a cold winter night! Who needs electricity-consuming TV, Ipods, Facebook and Netflix when you can head out to the club with your friends and dance the night away.

In addition to being the name of our band, Ile du Berceau or "Cradle Island" is best known as the enchanting location in Samois-sur-Seine, France that hosts the annual Django Reinhardt Music Festival. It's a place where musicians and music appreciators come together from across the globe to celebrate the legacy of Django Reinhardt's unique musical contributions, while also showcasing modern sounds that reflect the ever evolving world of jazz. In this unique and idyllic setting, musicians from all walks of life come together to play music and bask in the sounds of life in the making - such is the music and the spirit of the musicians who are Ile du Berceau.
